Why use a form?
Getting lead data is often harder than importing it.
Sending someone a spreadsheet template sounds simple until columns get renamed, required information is missed, or everyone formats their data differently.
A structured form gives people a clearer way to provide the information you need before importing it into Salesforce.
Missing lead information
Required information is easier to communicate before the data reaches Salesforce.
Inconsistent values
Give people structured fields instead of asking them to work inside a spreadsheet.
Spreadsheet back-and-forth
Collect lead information directly through a simple form.
Salesforce CSV template
A simple way to collect Salesforce lead information
Use this Salesforce lead CSV template to collect information such as first name, last name, company, email, phone number, job title, website, industry and lead source.
Instead of sending someone a spreadsheet and asking them to fill it in, give them a simple form and download the resulting CSV when they're finished.
Salesforce's Data Import Wizard supports CSV files and can automatically map columns when the names match Salesforce fields. Salesforce recommends using its Lead import-file labels for the CSV columns. View Salesforce's official Lead field mapping.
Salesforce also allows you to review and adjust field mappings during the import process, so you can fine-tune the mapping before starting the import. Learn more about the Salesforce Data Import Wizard.
If you need different fields or more than three rows, you can create your own Import Builder form and configure it for your lead collection workflow.
