Your contacts, readyfor BoldTrail's import.

The free template is limited to three rows so you can try the workflow. Create your own form to collect up to a thousand contacts per agent, from each agent joining your brokerage or from your own team.
Create your own formUp to 1,000 rows
Well under BoldTrail's 2MB file limit for a self-import.
BoldTrail column names
The headers are spelled as in BoldTrail's import template, so columns are easy to match when you upload.
Checked as they type
Missing agents, bad emails, statuses BoldTrail doesn't use and dates in the wrong order are flagged.
Your agents as a dropdown
Turn Assigned Agent into a list of your agents' BoldTrail emails in your own form, so every lead lands with the right person.
How it works
From old CRM to BoldTrail in three steps.
01
Collect
Import an export from your old CRM or a spreadsheet, or send the form to the agents whose contacts you're bringing in.
02
Complete
Each contact gets a row. Leads without an agent, emails that appear twice and unreadable dates are highlighted.
03
Download
Download the CSV and upload it in BoldTrail's contact import, matching each column to its field.
Why use a form?
An import that skips leads doesn't say much about it.
BoldTrail leaves out a lead with no assigned agent, skips one whose email the agent already has, and turns a status it doesn't use into Prospect. In a file of a few hundred contacts, the gaps only show up later, when a past client never gets their home anniversary email.
A form keeps every contact in BoldTrail's format while it's gathered, so the upload brings in everyone you meant it to.
Leads with no agent
Assigned Agent is required and must be an email address, which is how BoldTrail matches the lead to an agent.
Statuses BoldTrail doesn't use
Status is a dropdown of BoldTrail's eight statuses, from Sphere to Archived, so nothing quietly becomes Prospect.
Dates in the wrong order
Birthdays and closing dates must be mm/dd/yyyy, so 31/05/2017 is flagged before BoldTrail misreads it.
BoldTrail import template
Importing contacts into BoldTrail (kvCORE)
BoldTrail, the CRM formerly called kvCORE, imports contacts from a CSV file with a header row, up to 2MB. You can import up to 7,000 leads yourself; for more, BoldTrail's lead configuration team runs the import for you. When you upload, you match each column in the file to a BoldTrail field, so the headers in this template are spelled as in BoldTrail's own import template to make that quick.
Every lead needs an assigned agent, written as that agent's BoldTrail email, and at least one way to reach them: an email, a phone number or a mailing address. BoldTrail takes up to three emails (Email, Second Email and Spouse Email) and five phone numbers (two cells, home, work and spouse); extra ones can go in Agent Notes. Phone numbers must be 10-digit US or Canadian numbers.
A few rules catch people out. Status only accepts Sphere, Prospect, New Lead, Active Lead, Client, Contract, Closed and Archived; anything else, or a blank, becomes Prospect. Dates such as Birthday and Last Closing Date must be mm/dd/yyyy. Several deal types or hashtags in one cell are separated with a pipe, such as Buyer|Seller. The opt-in columns take TRUE or FALSE, and group or campaign texts still need the lead to text your number or register on your site first. A lead whose email the agent already has is skipped, and leads without an email can't be checked for duplicates, so they're imported even if they're already there.
This template checks each column as it's filled in. Three things it can't check: that each lead has an email, phone or address (the rule spans several columns), that phone numbers are 10-digit North American ones (it accepts any real phone number), and that each assigned agent's email belongs to an agent in your BoldTrail account. Search alerts, showings and lenders are left out; they need values from your own BoldTrail and MLS setup, and can be added to your own form.
