Need more than three rows?
Collect every subcontractor's details.
The free template is limited to three rows so you can try the workflow. Create your own form to send to each subcontractor or purchasing contact, and get company details back in one file instead of a different spreadsheet from every trade.
Create your own formProcore's column order
36 columns in the order of the vendors import template, so the rows paste straight in.
Checked as they type
Repeated company names, two-letter states, email addresses and Yes or No flags are checked.
Your own fields
Add insurance expiry or project names to your own form.
Up to 1,000 rows
Room for a whole company directory in one file.
How it works
From your subcontractor list to Procore in three steps.
01
Collect
Import a vendor list, or send the form to each company.
02
Complete
One company per row. Repeated names, long state names and badly spelled flags are highlighted.
03
Download and paste
Download the CSV and paste its rows into the vendors template from Procore's Imports app, below the header row.
Why use a form?
Duplicate companies are hard to undo.
Procore matches vendors by name, and case and punctuation count. A company written two ways becomes two vendors in the Directory, and a changed header or column order fails the whole import.
A form flags repeated names and keeps each column in the right place, so the Directory stays clean.
Names that don't match
ABC Electric and ABC Electric, Inc. become two companies. Names are used once, exactly as written.
Multiple values
Trades, cost codes and bid invitees are separated by a space, a | and a space, never a comma.
Lost leading zeros
ZIP codes are kept as text so 02134 doesn't become 2134.
Procore vendors import template
How Procore imports vendors
Procore's Directory holds the companies you work with: subcontractors, suppliers and other vendors. The Procore Imports app adds many at once from a spreadsheet, using a template you download.
Only the company name is required. The rest describes the company: its address, phone, emails, trades, licence number, cost codes and Yes or No flags such as small business or minority-owned. Entity Type and Entity Id go together, and several values in one cell are separated by a space, a | and a space.
Names are case- and punctuation-sensitive and must match any company already in the Directory, or a second copy is created. Changing the header text or the column order, or leaving blank rows, makes the import fail. Procore recommends importing users before vendors.
This template follows the order of the fields in Procore's documentation and checks each column as it's filled in. It leaves out the Id column, which Procore fills only on export and which overwrites existing vendors if imported. Compare the header row with the template you download.
