From customer details to Shopify in three steps.

02

03

Why use a form?
Getting customer data is often harder than importing it.
Sending someone a spreadsheet template sounds simple until columns get renamed, addresses are formatted differently, or important customer information is missed.
A structured form gives people a clearer way to provide the information you need before bringing it into Shopify.
Missing customer information
Make the information you need clear before the CSV is created.
Inconsistent data
Give people structured fields instead of asking them to work inside a spreadsheet.
Spreadsheet back-and-forth
Collect customer information directly through a simple form.
Shopify customer CSV template
A simple way to collect Shopify customer information
Use this Shopify customer CSV template to collect information such as first name, last name, email, phone number, company, address, marketing preferences, notes, tax status and tags.
Instead of sending someone a spreadsheet and asking them to fill it in, give them a simple form and download the resulting CSV when they're finished.
The template follows Shopify's documented customer CSV import format, including fields such as First Name, Last Name, Email, address information, Phone, Notes, Tax Exempt and Tags.
Shopify's customer import workflow uses the CSV column headers to identify the customer information being imported, so keeping the output in Shopify's expected format makes the file easier to use in the normal import process.
If you need different fields or more than three rows, you can create your own Import Builder form and configure it for your Shopify customer collection workflow.
Need a Shopify CSV form of your own?
